A successful Project Manager will manage projects in a way that ensure profitability, impress and satisfy clients and stakeholders, and provide a positive work environment for other team members.

It is expected that you have experience in construction, but not necessarily our specific field. Jobs range from $20k to $700k and you will be responsible for 4 to 8 professional installers at a time.

A Project Manager oversees all aspects of assigned jobs from initiation until the final approval is received and the job is closed. The Sales and Design teams provide an estimate of materials and manpower with expected profitability and then the Project Manager effectively plans the initiation of the project by assessing the scope of the work and creating a detailed plan needed to successfully complete the project.

Project Management Duties:

  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute $20k to $700k jobs with a total budget range of $2M to $4M per year
  • Effectively manage multiple projects based on shifting deadlines and requirements that adhere to established budgets and client expectations
  • Create budgets based on clients needs and submit competitive proposals
  • Work closely with other departments to create flawless and unique customer experiences
  • Responsible to attend site walk throughs, check-in visits and job completion walk throughs as needed
  • Responsible for quality control of project related items
  • Supervise and lead the lead installer and other crew members

Job Requirements

  • Experience in Project Management or Equivalent for at least 5 – 10 years
  • Detail oriented, resilient, eager to learn and has willingness to improve
  • Able to execute numerous competing priorities effectively
  • Highly organized, schedule driven and structured
  • Ability to read plans and drawings
  • Work flexible hours including early or late days (but flexibility to arrive early or late other days)
  • Has a background in commercial or high end residential construction
  • Enthusiasm for working in a multi-cultural team with diverse heritage, processes, and people

 

Education, Technical Skills and/or Experience:

  • Ability to handle critical customer issues/problems on complex projects.
  • Able to determine problems and deliver project solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Good verbal communication skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate proven leadership skills and time management experience.
  • High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work productively through rapid organizational change and maturity

 

Travel:

Travel is rarely required for this position though some projects may require out-of-the-area and overnight travel. Must have a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance.
