We are looking to hire a lead A/V installer. The ideal candidate will make sure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget and follow state and federal laws and all safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with project coordinators to manage multiple projects from start to finish under minimal responsibility.
  • Manage project updates on local software database (Groove)
  • Able to assist in developing and presenting project plans
  • Understanding of AV Infrastructure requirements.
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Able to produce rack wiring diagrams
  • Able to test and document AV systems.
  • Help oversee submittals, request-for-information, project schedules, and all correspondence with general contractors.
  • Able to work with a team to complete projects within deadlines/budgets.
  • Confidently quote and negotiate contract change orders.
  • Responsible for documentation.
  • Point of contact for each project.
  • Provide daily / weekly status updates to the management team.
  • Responsible for scheduling the necessary resources for each project
  • Responsible for communications between clients, contractors, crews, and management team.
  • Accountable for the timely and successful conclusion of all projects.
  • Responsible for providing management with instant notifications of potentially critical situations.
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, standards, and conventions.
  • Ensure the crew follows all safety guidelines.
  • Ensure and achieve the highest level of customer service.
  • Provide all documentation and system tutorial to the client for final sign off.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working with low voltage A/V
  • Must have an understanding of high-end residential AV systems.
  • Knowledge of distributed audio/video, lighting, and shades.
  • Knowledge of networking systems.
  • Knowledge of proposal software and tools
  • Knowledge of Crestron, RTI, Lutron, URC, Total Control is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lutron shades is a plus
  • Excellent decision making, organizational, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to take initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and superior customer service skills to work effectively with both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to effectively handle stressful situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement to ensure the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.

You will be the lead for all of the team’s projects and will be responsible for completing each project on time and on a budget to the customer’s highest satisfaction. Your ability to communicate regularly and effectively with your clients, teammates, and internal resources such as warehousing, project managers, contractors, designers, etc, will be paramount to your success. Daily activities will include project communications, scheduling, creating task lists for technicians, managing deliverables from the designer, and overseeing the multitude of tasks leading to project completion. Having regular meetings and clear communications with the install team is a must. Some travel may be required.
