Job Description

Come and further your career as a Pro Level Technician at the leading integrator in the country. If you are a top-level installer that can be either a high functioning lead technician of high profile projects OR finish the last 10% of projects, we’d like to talk to you.

This is a highly skilled, residential, audio/video technician position. You must have a strong industry knowledge and have high installation standards. You should have a strong understanding of system functions and be able to diagnose problems associated with home automation systems including Audio/Video, Networks, Security, Shades, Lighting, & CCTV. Experience with Crestron, Savant, Control4, and/or Lutron is a plus.

Pro Level Install Technicians function either as Lead Technicians or the Closers on projects. Lead Technicians are responsible to provision and execute projects to completion as the team lead of one or more experienced install technicians. Closers arrive at projects when they are 80% or more completed and work with the existing team to get the job to completion.

The objective of a Pro Level Install Technician is to complete profitable projects in a way that clients and employees have a great experience.

Job Requirements

  • Must have deep knowledge of at least 1 automation / control system such as Savant, Crestron, Control4, Lutron, or Vantage
  • Must be able to quickly learn AVS’ standards
  • Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s)
  • Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners
  • Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and good hygiene
  • Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively communicate written and verbally to employees
  • Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally or work overtime as needed
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; creative thinking
  • Interact with employees, customers, and colleagues effectively on a professional-level
  • Be a US Citizen
  • Have valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Must own and have hand/power/testing tools necessary for the low voltage industry
  • Pass drug screen and background check
