Job Description
We are looking for experienced sales/system designers at Custom Home Sound.
You will be responsible for meeting with prospective clients to design and sell them a system that fits their needs. Our process includes creating detailed scopes of work for the clients to better understand what they are getting rather than line item lists and then communicating this to the installation team for successful hand off of the project once sold.
While the primary role is sales and design, you will need to assist with some aspects of project management especially on large-scale projects that have long build times in order to coordinate changes and additions.
Job Requirements
Experience with selling and designing the following types of systems are a requirement:
- Lighting Control
- Automation and Integration
- Motorized Shading
- Home Theaters
- Networks
- Distributed Audio and Video Systems
Knowledge of the Apple OS systems are important as we are a fully Apple Office.
Experience with the specific brands we sell are a plus but not absolutely necessary. Experience with these products are a bonus:
- Lutron
- Savant
While also not a requirement these are some knowledge areas that can help make you stand out above the crowd:
- Use of CAD for creating drawings for client proposals
- Lighting design experience. We sell fixtures as part of our full scale projects and it is becoming a bigger part of our business.

PTO plan and company holidays. We provide 10 days of PTO for the 1st 3 years of employment and increasing to 15 days. We also have a company holiday on the 2nd Friday of every month. Each employee is assigned the even or odd months to get you an additional 6 days off per year.
