Job Summary & Responsibilities:

This position will professionally and competently oversee multiple projects through to completion, from design, orders, pre-wire, install, integration, QA, and customer training. Under minimal supervision, manage the project (schedules, product orders, product installation, other employees and/or subcontractors) from start to end while maintaining a high company standard to the client and workforce. Self-sufficiency of every project is of the utmost importance. Training accommodations are available.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, engineer and propose client integrated systems to the internal team before presentation to the client.
  • Installation and set-up of a two-piece projection systems and/or monitors (projectors, screen, displays, controls).
  • Installation and programming multi-room Audio/Video distribution systems and multi-zone control products (i.e. RTI, Control4, Crestron, Savant Systems).
  • Properly completing daily paperwork; maintaining proper records and a clean work environment.
  • Professionally communicate with clients regarding their needs, complaints, concerns, and wishes in order to provide a continually improving audio/ visual environment, and company experience.
  • Travel and work over hours as required by the project.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical activities include stooping, bending, stretching, crawling, and lifting. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. requiring proper lifting techniques. Ability to properly operate various types of job-related power equipment is necessary. Driving a company or personal vehicle is an imperative function of this position; therefore a clean driving record must be maintained at all times. A personal background check will be required as Kozi Media Design employees work in custom homes and commercial projects where professionalism, respect, safety, security, and privacy is of the utmost importance as the employee will be a direct ambassador for the company.

Job Requirements

  • The right attitude, to work until the job is complete as a team.
  • The preferred candidate must have excellent technical skills, with minimal 2 years of experience in the installation of audio, video, and automation systems or similar preferred. Familiarity with electronic systems programming desired. Desire to learn.
  • Effective professional-level interaction ability. Great verbal and written communications skills. A drive for perfection.
  • Good knowledge of construction processes/practices and general electrical.
  • Understanding of running wire in new and existing construction.
  • Experience with programming & installation of lighting, shades, HVAC, phone systems, remote systems, integration, programming
  • An understanding as to the communications necessity of electronics to control systems.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, etc.) and high places on a ladder or lift.
  • Capability to design, build, and install quality home theater systems. This can be a 1 room, or 30 room solution, integrated with control of complex processes.
  • Cutting in-wall speaker locations and mount all wall devices (volume controls, keypads, panels, sensors, etc.) neatly, efficiently, professionally, and safely.
  • Understanding of computer networking including TCP/IP, VPN, DDNS, AVB, POE, router configuration, network troubleshooting, wireless access points, VLAN, network switching, network segmentation.
  • Properly terminating RF, BNC, RG6, RJ45, fiber, and allocated cable connection types.
  • High school degree and/or combination of education, related experience and training.
  • Certifications or classes in safety, AV installation, telecom, OSHA standards, security, etc. is a plus.
  • Prior lineman, technician, cable-man experience with phone, cable, or security company a plus.

This position is eligible for a bonus program. This bonus program is expected to be paid quarterly based upon individual and company Key Performance Indicators.

Vehicle reimbursement may be provided at current standard rates as outlined by the State of Pennsylvania, or as outlined in the employee handbook, or a company vehicle will be provided based on experience. Standard benefits package reimbursement option with contribution to 401K, PTO, and holidays as outlined in employee handbook.
