Integrated Custom Audio Video (ICAV), a leading innovator in the smart home technology industry, is looking for a Senior Smart-Home Installation Technician to join our thriving community.
About the Role:
As our Senior Smart-Home Installation Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of smart home technologies. You will have the ability to work independently while also leading a crew to deliver successful projects, liaising effectively with clients and onsite trades. This role requires the ability to work on active construction sites and across a variety of locations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of a variety of smart home devices, including audio/video systems, dedicated theaters, smart home control systems, network systems, motorized window treatments, lighting control systems, and surveillance systems.
- Ensure seamless and regular communication with project managers, the Director of Operations, clients, and onsite trades.
- Guarantee quality control, fully commission systems, and handle debugging.
- Read and interpret architectural and MEP plans, closely coordinating with onsite trades for successful project execution.
- Collaborate with our design and engineering team, providing crucial feedback on system functionality and usability.
- Act as a mentor, guiding and supporting junior technicians.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Comprehensive understanding of smart home technologies and the ability to commission and perform minor programming updates on systems from brands such as Lutron, Savant, Control4.
- Robust foundational and configuration knowledge of wired and wireless network systems.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel to clients’ homes, local or remote.

- Hours: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.
