Job Description

  • Deploy residential and small-business wired and wireless networks
  • Building, wiring and installing equipment racks
  • Wire networking systems, pre-wire and retrofit wiring
  • High and/or low voltage lighting
  • Smart home technology, security, audio equipment, shading, wiring, and installing video walls, projection systems and TVs
  • Installing and testing networking and Wi-Fi systems
  • Connecting and bringing to life control systems
  • Cabling/terminating
  • Working with programmers to make sure the system operates correctly
  • Reading and translating floor plan, elevation and other plans, drawings and documentation
  • Communicating with project coordinators on job status and site requirements
  • Working with engineering and documentation staff on development of project documents, including full as-built plans at project completion and many other duties
  • Develop protocols, procedures, best practices, and trainings for company and external use for these systems
  • Transport themselves and materials to and from project locations
  • Responsible for maintaining the vehicle and its contents, including cleanliness
  • Trouble shooting/problem solving skills
  • Testing old/new connections
  • Clean up job sites
  • Recording and maintaining inventories
  • Upload regular updates to all TVs, receivers and miscellaneous AV equipment
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction
  • Knowledge or certification with Elan, Savant, Crestron, Lutron, Control4 a plus
  • Knowledge of residential systems integration including audio/video, lighting, shades, climate control, security, CCTV, telephone and computer networks

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, Google Slides, etc
  • Keep accurate records of receipts, job changes, equipment used
  • Detail-oriented professional with the ability to quickly solve problems, who loves new challenges and is seeking a defined career path
  • Excellent communicator and problem solver with a drive for results who wants to be in a client-facing and highly visible role
  • Ability to perform calculations, analyze reports + engage in strategic and creative problem solving
