As the face of the company, the basic function of the Service Technician is to troubleshoot and resolve A/V, network and control systems to working conditions according to the design specifications. Extremely strong analytical and critical thinking skills will help you diagnose issues effectively. A hands-on approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves is tantamount to success. Being confident in your skillsets and your ability to work alone is required and critical to streamlined performance. Please do not apply unless you have a steady and proven track record and experience at RESIDENTIAL and/or commercial integration companies.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot complex systems and install equipment such as: audio & video systems, networks, WI-FI, Speakers, TV’s, projectors, media rooms, control systems, connecting wires and cables.
- Contact manufacturers to troubleshoot and RMA failed products.
- Install and or replace small systems as needed to ensure continued operability.
- Knowledge of clean and professional rack systems and serviceability
- Setup and program remotes and various automation systems.
- Terminate cat6, Coax, fiber and connectors.
- Troubleshoot and tone wires for identification.
- Ensure equipment installation according to designated layout.
- Maintain inventory of equipment.
- Ensure timely task reporting and follow up and elevate issues as needed to management.
- Managing a calendar of appointments and being extremely efficient at time management.
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication in the face of clients, supervisor and leadership.
- Very strong daily, weekly and overall project planning attention to detail
- Strong A/V troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to explain complex technology systems and issues in simple layman’s terms.
- Knowledge of various types of low voltage wiring and ability to terminate accordingly.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Understanding and knowledge of wired and wireless systems.
- Self-motivated and ability to work alone to accomplish tasks to clients demands.
- Knowledge of system signal flow and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands on knowledge of standard tools required to perform audio/video integrations.
- Ability to focus.
- Strong Project Management understanding and background.
- Able to effectively use MS office suite including Excel, Word and Outlook and other cloud-based project management software.
- Ability to climb and descend ladders safely.
- Ability to lift and carry more than 50 lbs, including toolboxes, TV’s and other equipment.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background check and drug test
Preferred Skills:
- AV control system certifications, preferably Control4, Savant, Lutron, Crestron Home, Lutron or others
- Experience with Wi-Fi networking system, including deployment and configuration. PCNA certification or other networking certification a plus.
- Understanding of audio systems design including Dolby ATMOS, DSP programming and immersive audio design.
- Ability to manage resources, set priorities and achieve deadlines.

Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record
- Five years experience installing alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, audio/video equipment. We install hardwired and wireless components, camera systems, access control systems, smart home systems, and a wide range of other categories
- Install and troubleshoot CCTV – includes: fixed/PTZ cameras, DVR, NVR, Hybrid, Servers and video matrix systems
- Test, review and troubleshoot installed systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members to achieve common site/project objectives
- Complete all required paperwork/email reports on a Daily and timely basis
- Candidate must provide their own hand tools
- A fully outfitted company vehicle will be provided to the right candidate

Job Requirements
- Experience with low-voltage cabling, electrical work or security/alarm installation.
- Mechanically inclined with good working knowledge of hand-tools and power-tools.
- Must be reliable and on-time or early, every day.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally for projects or training.
- Must be willing to work some Saturdays and evenings.
- Clean DMV record and no criminal record.
- At least 2+ years in construction or a similar trade, preferred
- Trade-school degree is preferred, but not required.
