Job Description
Systems Integrators designs and installs various smart home systems in luxury residences throughout Vermont and neighboring states. the systems we provide include security systems, audio/video, lighting control & home automation, motorized window treatments. architectural and outdoor lighting, etc.
The Systems Designer would take input documentation provided by the sales department, from interviews with the clients, architect, builder, etc. and develop a line item proposal and all supporting documentation, including wiring plans & elevations (Autocad). Riser diagrams, schematics and rack layouts (Visio) and supporting materials and wiring schedules (Excel). You will interact daily with the internal staff members including sales, office & operations, project managers and technicians, and will have ongoing communications with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
While we have systems in place, this is very much a position in which the right person will develop, improve and refine processes over time. To that end, it requires a self-motivated person, unafraid to absorb new information and dig deep to understand the machinations of what we do. This may involve some hands-on work in the field alongside our technicians, contact with vendors and ongoing training. It is also a role that will require you to demonstrate your proficiency with AutoCad, Visio & Excel. The System Design role could be accomplished in a 20-30 hour work week. Our hope is that the same person will be able to develop programming skills for the more advanced systems that we deploy, including Lutron lighting control, Savant home automation, DSC security, etc., which would make this a full-time position.
We want someone that is energetic, interested in expanding their skill set, wants to work with a dynamic team in a fast paced environment, and works well independently.
While we don’t require an engineering degree, that could be helpful. Strong AutoCAD, Visio & Excel skills and high level of organization are essential.
We work throughout Vermont and beyond but most of your time would be spent in our Williston office.
If you fit the bill and are looking for an exciting new career opportunity, please submit your resume today.
